Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is home insurance mandatory in the UAE?

It is not legally required, but many landlords and mortgage lenders in Dubai and Abu Dhabi require it. It is strongly recommended to protect your belongings.

I am a tenant — do I still need it?

Yes. Tenants can take contents-only cover (your belongings, not the building). Your landlord is responsible for the building structure.

What is the difference between buildings and contents cover?

Buildings covers the physical structure. Contents covers your possessions inside. You can take either or both.

Are high-value items like jewellery covered?

Standard plans have per-item limits. High-value items like jewellery, watches or art can be scheduled separately for full cover.
