Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is motor insurance mandatory in the UAE?

Yes — at minimum, third-party liability (TPL) is legally required to register and drive any vehicle in the UAE.

What is the difference between TPL and comprehensive?

TPL covers damage you cause to others. Comprehensive adds cover for your own vehicle against accidents, fire, theft and natural disasters.

Can I add additional drivers to my policy?

Yes — most insurers allow named drivers to be added for a small additional premium. We will confirm this when comparing quotes for you.

How quickly can I get a policy?

Same-day cover is available for most personal vehicles. Commercial fleets may take 1–2 business days.
